Anri Sala @ New Museum, 235 Bowery, ends 10 April 2016. Exhibition Website

This is in my "TOP 4" favorite works of contemporary art ever.  I first saw it a few years ago in Venice and haven't stopped thinking about it since. I love it here too.  Though I can't guarantee you'll have the same enlighten experience, you should give it a shot.

Head to the 4th floor of the New Museum on the right elevator (both work, but it's just the most dramatic entrance if you can catch that one).  One room features a video of two piano players playing the same music* - filmed at different times, but shown simultaneously - constantly falling in and out of sync. The other features a DJ with two records on two turntables, attempting to perfectly re-sync those performances manually (MANUALLY!!!). Just stay for like an hour and trip out - you'll get it.
