Micro-Drawings by an Artist Without Hands

by David Behringer of the Two Percent

Matthias Buchinger @ The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1000 5th Avenue, ends 4/11. Exhibition Website

300 years ago, an artist, musician, and magician named Matthias Buchinger stunned the world (and apparently a lot of ladies too.. because he had 14 children and a rumored 70 mistresses).  His drawings are CRAZY detailed and he could write so small that you need a magnifying glass to read it.

He did ALL of this... without hands or feet.  I'm serious. It's a tiny show (no pun intended... it's literally not that large of a show), but 100% worth the trip and suggested donation at the Met.  It's at the top of the main staircase to the left.

p.s. Thankfully, the Met provides magnifying glasses for this show!!!
